We are a full service Hunter, Jumper facility, offering training and riding lessons for beginners through Grand Prix
Interested in seriously showing as an amateur or a junior, a little showing for fun, or just horsing around here at the barn we can provide the best training the central valley has to offer.
Hannink Equine offer’s a safe environment in which you can learn proper horsemanship. A supportive staff is here to guide the beginner rider through the basics such as saddling and bridling, to their first jump, and beyond.
Intermediate riders are met with the challenge of refining skills on talented school horses.
If you have a horse of your own we have competitive training rates for some of the most talented training in California. Owner Jen Hannink with her team of qualified professionals has combined many years of experience into a package that not only develops the horse but also creates a skilled and thinking rider.
From just learning to groom the horse to jumping courses, we have lessons programs for every kind of rider.
Shawna Thornton teaches our beginning lessons. Lessons run for about 1 hour. We like to start with private lessons, a one to one trainer/student ratio. Students will learn the basics on how to care for a horse before and after a lesson. Once the student is comfortable doing the tasks by themselves, then the student can move into a group lesson with other students at the same riding ability.
When the student is ready to move forward, they move on to Jen Hannink. Here the student will continue with their education in equestrian riding. Learning to understand the theory of riding and refine their equestrian skills.
Horses and supplies are provided however you are encouraged to bring your own if you prefer.
Our facility is located in the beautiful Central Valley amongst acres of peach and almond orchards. It consists of 18 box stalls, 2 large sized arenas filled with trot poles – grand prix jumps. We offer a big field for “haul-in” lessons (easy parking for trailers).
