Best known as a World Cup trainer, Jen Hannink has been training riders and horses for over 25 years.  As a toddler, she would ride her mother’s ranch horse through the walnut and peach orchards of their farm in the heart of California’s Central Valley.  In her early teens, Jen gentled colts with one of the original “horse whisperers”, Ray Hunt.  Her hunter/jumper training was fine tuned by international Grand Prix trainer, Larry Mayfield and Richard Keller.  To enhance her understanding of horses, Jen did extensive work on troubled horses with Tom Dorrance. 
Jen’s broad training lead her to specialize in hunter/jumpers and equitation.  She trains and competes in the “A” circuit in the US and Canada.  She has trained students to World Cup competition.  When time allows, Ms. Hannink judges “A” circuit hunter/jumper shows in California and Arizona.  She also owns an extensive English tack store--The Tack Room in Modesto, California.
Jen’s goal is to work with riders and horses so they become a team.  She insists on strong basics and a foundation on which to build.  She works with “the team” at their current level to build a partnership.  Students appreciate her patience, sensitivity to horse’s needs, honesty and ability to work through equine relationships.  From ranch horses to Grand Prix jumpers, Jen has developed a style of training that creates harmony between horse and rider. 

Jen is available for one- to two-day clinics in jumpers and hunt seat equitation.
