Sales Hannink Equine Center helps you save time and money by taking advantage of our customized rating system. We strive to put together a partnership between horse and rider. We believe that the ability of both is very important. To better match horses and riders we have come up with a scale of riding ability. Our sales horses are listed along with a brief description and the level of rider that we feel will best suit their needs. Beginner- A novice or timid rider that can walk and trot comfortably. Educated Beginner- A horse savvy beginner that understands basic horsemanship and is comfortable on the ground around horses. A rider that easily walks, trots, and canters. Advanced Beginner- A rider that is very comfortable around horses and can easily walk, trot, and canter while learning to jump. Intermediate- A rider that is beginning to jump hunter-type courses and can transition between gaits smoothly and quietly. Advanced Intermediate- A rider that completely understands the use of hand and leg, is jumping multiple courses, and can sit through a minor spook. Advanced- A rider that can ride and bring along a green horse, and is comfortable with young and inexperienced horses.

7 year old warm blood gelding 16.2. Bred for the grand prix ring sired by Oh! Star (Olympic Star) and out of Indiscreet. Both of his parents are proven grand prix horses and this apple fell very close to the tree. He has proven himself as a competitive Jr. Hunter and Jr. Medal horse at top A shows. He is very kind, level headed, with enthusiasm for his job. His quiet demeanor will lend him to be suitable for an amateur or Junior rider. If you want a nice hunter/medal horse or something to develop into the upper jumper levels this is a very nice individual. Tyco has had an impressive summer showing at Brookside, Pebble Beach Classic I and Pebble Beach Classic II in the Amateur Medals, such as the Pickwick medal, WCE, and USEF Talent search. He was also at the top of the jog for the A/O working Hunters. At the LA preview and LA National horse show he was consistently in the top of the ribbons in the m1.10 and m1.15 Jumper classes. 14 year old 17.2 Holsteiner gelding by Alcatraz, Atlantic 32 was shown successfully on the east coast by a gentleman in Low Am Jumpers before coming to the west coast. Shown at the Hits shows in Indio of 06 by a young Jr. rider moving up to the 3’6” medals, he was consistently in the top placings. During the spring of 06 he was successful in the Jr. Hunters, and Jr. Medals. He returned to the HITS shows in Thermal carrying a novice rider to a championship in the Equitation division and ribbons in the Children Hunters. He is a great horse for riders to move up into the Jr. Hunters or Medals. Intermediate

Shown lightly this year she is already doing 3'9" courses and proving her ability to be a competitive show jumper, she shows the heart of both her sire and her dam. Black Cat 7 yr old Dutch/TB black mare 16.1h. Black Cat is living up to her parentage, by a Bold Ruler stallion and out of a Omen (Dutch) Dam she has the talent and mind set of a great show horse. She shows great jumping ability for the jumpers, the form of a hunter and the ridability of an equitation horse and the demeanor to any or all of them. 14 year old Reg. 16.1 bay Thoroughbred Gelding, . Romeo has beautiful form, ground covering stride, and is easy to ride. An excellent teacher for medals, hunters, or jumpers. Shown successfully in the medals, equitation, and hunter divisions by a jr. rider moving up from a pony. He qualified her for the local medals at 3' and is just as accommodating at 3'3''. Larks Vin Diesel 7yr old Reg QH gelding, 17.0 hands descendent of Rugged Lark. This horse has a great mind for the amateur or novice rider. He is ready to go to the show ring in the hunter/equitation divisions at 2'6". He is very brave, likes to jump and has a huge stride. Although he is not a finished horse he is capable of handle the mistake of an entry level rider. Advanced Intermediate Mariska 17 yr, Dutch, Mare, 15.3h, gray. Mariska had a successful career as a Young riders Jumper and is ready to retire to teach yet another rider the skills of horsemanship. She is a very easy horse to ride and has had extensive mileage on the flat, she could easily go to the dressage ring as a 1st or 2nd level horse or back to the low jumper ring and be competitive. Annie 8 yr old, Tb cross mare, 16.1 h. Annie has great jumping form and is very bold to the jumps. Although she has not had a great deal of professional training she is a natural athlete and shows promise of being a very competitive show horse in any division. With smooth easy gaits she would also make a great equitation horse. Advanced Intermediate Keat 9yr old, brown, T.B., gelding, 16.1h . Keat is a very compact balanced horse. He has a great attitude toward his work, with a big stride, and a great jump. lead changes come easily to him with a smooth gait he could go to any ring. Jumps is good form for hunters, easy to frame for the equitation, and brave for the jumpers. Advanced Intermediate
